Benelli M3 is a dual-mode (hybrid pump-action and semi-automatic) shotgun designed and manufactured by Italian firearms manufacturer Benelli Armi SpA, and one of Benelli’s “Super 90” series of semi-auto shotguns. Firstly, the M3 holds a maximum of seven rounds and uses Benelli’s proprietary Inertia-driven action system first showcased in the M1. Again, the M3 is notable for allowing the user to choose between semi-automatic or pump-action operation.
Benelli M3 Offers Shotgunners Reliability and Speed
And, in the defensive shotgun world, consumers often argue over the benefits of a pump-action shotgun versus a semi-automatic model. Also, sure the semi-auto offers speed, but they’re more likely to jam with unique loads. Furthermore, pump-action is reliable with all kinds of loads, but the pump takes more time to cycle. Further, why not have the benefits of both? The B M3 Convertible offers just such a solution.
Instead of being built around one of these operating systems, the Benelli M3 Convertible incorporates both a semi-automatic and pump-action mechanism. This allows users to have total reliability in semi-automatic mode with all conventional shot shells. Shooting a low-recoil or beanbag load? Simply turn the selector ring on the gun, which locks the action bars to the moveable fore-end.
